About Our Farm

This project is targeted at youths and young families with the intention of offering them hope for the future through empowerment in the area of modern agriculture. It is, therefore, aimed at helping many young people become self-reliant in order to be of help to their families. It is the desire of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu to lunch into agriculture to enable us create opportunities for self-employment to our teeming youths, most of whom are led into illegal migration due to unemployment. Our project is being pursued in three phases.

The Pilot Phase

First is the pilot project of the Mary Agro Farms is a 5 years plan aimed at developing in about 12 Hectares of Land, what we intend to establish in 500 hectares of Land.

Currently, the first phase is about 50% completed.

The Pilot Scheme is located within the St. Mary’s Catholic Pro-Cathedral Udi premises.

The Permanent Site

The Mary Agro Farms permanent site, is targeted to practice a full fledged integrated system of farming, whereby there will be an integration of livestock and crop production.

Our main idea here is to reduce pollution, waste and increase income by combining different types of farming, and to also raise modern farmers to continue the trend.

Location for the the permanent site is proposed to ba a 500 hectare of land at Omughu Umana in Ezeagu, Enugu State, Nigeria.
